Garden (Giardino) and Environmental Program
The establishment of a Giardino was one of the P&C’s priority projects for 2010 to support students’ learning about sustainable environmental practices. A ‘gardener in residence’ is employed two days a week to maintain the garden and especially to work with teachers and students to model sound gardening practices and to grow vegetables and fruit for cooking or sale to the school community. Volunteers are welcome to work in the garden at any time.
