The Arts include Visual Arts, Drama, Music, Dance and Media. Through our Arts programs, students develop intellectual, social, physical and aesthetic understandings and skills which assist them to create, explore and communicate ideas and appreciate a variety of art forms.
Students' learning of Visual Arts at Yarralumla Primary is enhanced by access for all classes to a real Artists' Studio and in-house expertise. The school also offers a range of musical programs where students have expert tutors. These programs include Piano tuition, Ukulele Tuition, Guitar tuition and a Year 5 and Year 6 Woodwind Band. Tuition offered can vary from year to year depending on staff availability. For the past four years, Years 3 to 6 students have benefited greatly in their understanding of performing arts through their participation in the ACT's annual Limelight Performances.
