Parents' and Citizens' Association (P&C)

The P&C promotes community participation in the activities of the school. Yarralumla Primary P&C Association is an incorporated body with the executive of the P&C elected at the Annual General Meeting convened in February each year. The P&C invites parents to become involved in the school in a partnership which provides the best opportunities for students. New parents are welcomed each year with social and school activities.

Monthly P&C meetings are advertised through the newsletter and all parents are invited to attend. All parents of students at the school are members and eligible to attend meetings and contribute in any way they can.

The P&C conducts social functions, fundraising activities and runs the canteen and the uniform shop. The P&C has a vital role at Yarralumla Primary School. Through the P&C, parents:

  • Oversee the operations of the school canteen
  • Organise the major fundraising events for the school
  • Discuss educational issues and the provision of resources
  • Elect the parent representatives to the School Board
